Royale Walk produced a very taking debut performance to land the seven-runner five-year-old mares’ maiden at Lingstown. One of only two newcomers in the field, the Tattersalls Derby Sale graduate was settled towards the rear early on before travelling strongly and making smooth headway from the penultimate fence. Easing to the front on the run to the last, she quickly pulled clear to record an impressive nine-length success. The daughter of Walk In The Park is out of the Grade 1-winning chaser Royale Flag, and with her fluent jumping and smart turn of foot when asked to quicken, she marked herself down as a very exciting prospect for the track.
