Fourteen Wildcards Complete Tattersalls Cheltenham December Sale Catalogue

The Tattersalls Cheltenham December Sale, due to take place on Friday 15th December after racing on the opening day of Cheltenham’s two-day Christmas Meeting, is now final and is listed online at www.tattersallsjcsales.com.

With the addition of 14 superb wildcard entries the Cheltenham December Sale now features an excellent 45-lot catalogue. The extra wildcard lots feature nine winning and placed four-year-old point-to-pointers, one last fence faller when in contention with the winner, three winning and placed five-year-old point-to-pointers, one National Hunt Flat race winner

Over the last week Tattersalls Cheltenham graduates have continued to impress on the track and horses sold at Cheltenham finished first and second in both Grade 2 races run at Sandown's Tingle Creek Festival meeting.

The results were headlined by the Cheltenham December Sale graduate and 2022 Grade 1 Cheltenham Festival-winning hurdler Stay Away Fay's victory in the Grade 2 Esher Novices Chase. The six-year-old gelding by Shantou now heads the market for the Cheltenham Festival's Grade 1 Brown Advisory Novices' Chase.

The Jamie Snowdon-trained Colonel Harry took second in the Grade 1 Henry VIII Novices' Chase on a first start in graded chase company, while at Cork the Fame And Glory gelding Search For Glory collected the Grade 3 staying novices' hurdle for trainer Gordon Elliott and owner Gigginstown House Stud.
