Hollow Games New Ante Post Favourite for Albert Bartlett Novices Hurdle

Hollow Games retained his unbeaten record when surging to victory in the Grade 3 Monksfield Novice Hurdle at Navan for Gordon Elliott and Noel and Valerie Moran. The son of Beat Hollow jumped impeccably under Davy Russell and stayed on strongly to the line to win going away. It was a very taking performance and he cemented his position at the head of the ante post market for the Albert Bartlett Novices Hurdle at the Cheltenham Festival. He was sold for £255,000 by Baltimore Stables to Gordon Elliott and Aidan O’Ryan at the 2020 Cheltenham Festival Sale.

 

Run Wild Fred sporting the Gigginstown House Stud colours provided trainer Gordon Elliott with his fifth win in the feature Troytown Handicap Chase on Sunday’s Navan card. The imposing son of Shantou made virtually all of the running under Davy Russell to provide the Elliott team with a big race double on the day. He was also sold by James Doyle’s Baltimore Stables to Lodge Bloodstock for £225,000 at the 2018 Cheltenham May Sale.

 

On Saturday Bravemansgame and Jeremy Pass provided Paul Nicholls and John and Jess Dance with an across the card double after victories at Haydock and Ascot respectively. Bravemansgame put in an outstanding display of jumping which belied his years to win the Graduation Chase in fine style at Haydock for trainer Paul Nicholls. The son of Brave Mansonnien who is part owned by Bryan Drew was spring heeled throughout and the world looks his oyster over fences. He was sold by Donnchadh Doyle’s Monbeg Stables to Tom Malone for £370,000 at the 2019 Cheltenham Festival Sale.

 

Jeremy Pass also put in a polished display of jumping at Ascot to win the Novices Handicap Chase on their card under Bryony Frost. The son of Jeremy jumped and galloped his rivals into the ground and looks a progressive individual and one to follow over fences this season. He was purchased by Tom Malone for £100,000 from Mick Goff at the 2019 Cheltenham Festival Sale.
