Twenty-Three wildcard entries complete Cheltenham November Sale catalogue

A total of 63 point-to-pointers and horses in training have been catalogued for this Friday’s Cheltenham November Sale, following the addition of 23 wildcard entries. The sale is scheduled to take place after racing in the Tattersalls Cheltenham sale ring, with horses available for inspection in the Charles Turner yard.

 

The sale includes 35 winning and placed four-year-old point-to-pointers and 19 winning and placed five-year-old point-to-pointers. Also included are eight winning and placed Bumper horses, and a three-year-old flat novice maiden winner.

 

No less than 27 stallions with horses catalogued have already sired Grade or Group 1 winners, including AL NAMIX, CALIFET, COASTAL PATH, COURT CAVE, FAME AND GLORY, FLEMENSFIRTH, GETAWAY, GREAT PRETENDER, JET AWAY, KAPGARDE, MAHLER, MALINAS, MARTALINE, MILAN, MOUNT NELSON, POLICY MAKER, SHANTOU, SHOLOKHOV, SOLDIER OF FORTUNE, SPANISH MOON, WALK IN THE PARK, WESTERNER and WORKFORCE.

 

Since January 2021, Tattersalls Cheltenham graduates have won an impressive 87 black-type races. Only on Saturday at Down Royal ENVOI ALLEN recorded his seventh Grade 1 success in the Ladbrokes Champion Chase for Cheveley Park Stud and Henry De Bromhead. Tattersalls Cheltenham graduates further stamped their authority on the weekend’s proceedings when both HANG IN THERE and EL BARRA won their first Graded races over fences, whilst COOL SURVIVOR remained unbeaten over hurdles with his victory in the Listed Novice Hurdle at Cork.

 

The catalogue and race replays are available to view online with printed copies available at Cheltenham racecourse. Inspections for the sale will be open from 2.00 p.m. this Thursday November 10th and all day on Friday November 11th, with the sale scheduled to commence after racing at 4.45 p.m.
